Your requesting to join one of my classes or receive treatment(s) and my agreement to provide that care constitutes a Contract. You can, of course, refuse to provide this information, but if you were to do so then unfortunately I would be unable to teach you or provide treatment(s) and advice to you.
  2. I am required to collect this information, because without it I could not do my job effectively and safely, this has been classified as a “Legitimate Interest”, outlined in the Data Protection Act.
  3. I also think that it is important that I can contact you in order to confirm your appointment(s) with me or to update you on matters related to your care. This again constitutes “Legitimate Interest”,but this time it is your legitimate interest.
  4. Provided that I have your Consent (and only in this instance) I may, on occasion, send you general health information or information about the services that I offer. You may withdraw thisconsent at any time, to do so you can let me know by any convenient method, details can be found on the ‘contact’ page on my website (www.imassagetherapy.co.uk).

I have a Legal Obligation to retain your records for 7 years after your most recent appointment (or age 25, if this is longer), after this period you can ask me to delete your records. Otherwise, I may retain your records in order that I can provide you with the best possible care should you need to see me at a future date.

I am committed to ensuring that your personal data is received and stored securely; in physical form it is kept under lock and key and in electronic form it is always password protected, further to this my website, email and cloud service providers have confirmed that they are also committed to ensuring compliance to the General Data Protection Regulations.

I will never share your data with anyone else without your written consent, unless required by law to do so.

You have the right to see your personal data held by me and you may ask me to correct any factual errors. Provided the legal minimum period has elapsed, you may also ask me to erase your records.
