Osteopathy

Kristen O’Connell
Hi, I’m Kristen O’Connell, an Osteopath with a diverse background in movement, rehabilitation, and wellness. Originally from the USA, I made the move to the UK in 2006 when I undertook study for my masters in international relations from the University of Essex. However, my passion for helping others evolved into a lifelong career in health and fitness.
Before becoming an osteopath, I spent years working as a personal trainer and massage therapist, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of clients—ranging from children to seniors. This gave me a deep understanding of the human body, its mechanics, and how different treatments can help people of all ages live pain-free and improve their quality of life.
I graduated from the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) in 2024, where I trained in a patient-centred approach, combining manual therapy techniques with rehabilitation exercises tailored to each individual’s needs.
In addition to my professional work, I played rugby for 20 years, during which time I achieved my rugby coaching qualification. My experience in high-intensity sports like rugby and CrossFit has also informed my approach to treating athletes and active individuals. Whether you’re an elite athlete or someone looking to move better day-to-day, I draw on my extensive background to help you achieve your goals.
I’m passionate about supporting my clients throughout their health journey, from injury prevention and rehabilitation to improving posture, movement patterns, and overall wellness. I look forward to helping you get back to doing what you love!
